Online Shopping to take the edge off

It’s the most wonderful time of the year… or so the song goes… but holiday shopping can definitely make most cheerful people a little bit cray-cray. Every year I go through the same feelings of fear and loathing about finding the right gifts for the important people in my life. Well, this year is going to be different. It should never be about the gifts, and as long as we remember that, it will make the holiday season so much better. That being said, there are a few places that make gift giving a pleasure and best of all, you don’t have to leave the comfort of your favorite chair.

Of A Kind has all of the fashionable people in your life covered – your BFF, significant other, cool aunt. My personal favorites on the site right now are the sweet handmade vases and the goes-with-everything messenger bag. So good.

Alder&Co_website

Alder and Co. is one of my very favorite Portland stores. They just launched a new website with better pictures so it’s even easier to get an idea of all the excellent items, from skincare and cosmetics to kitchen ware and home decor. I have a birthday coming up and I just might stroll in to treat myself to a little something. Check out this pointy-eared knit hat to pay homage to felines everywhere.

Still need to cast a wider net? Try A+R Store. Everything on this site is fun, functional, and designed beautifully. The wood and magnet town set would make the idea gift for a kiddo on the go. And these Cabledrop cord holders are something you didn’t know you needed, but wonder how you lived without them once you have them. They’d make easy stocking stuffers for your gadget guru.
